Unfortunately American Express currently doesn't
do internet transactions with American dollars.
Amex card-holders are encouraged to use the Canadian
form. The charges will be processed in Canadian funds, but
will be exchanged to American funds when it appears on your Credit
card statement.
example:
If your receipt reads $15.20 CDN, your credit
card statement will read as a charge of $ 9.75 US because
the present exchange rate is approximately 1.56. ( 9.75 x 1.56
= 15.20 )
Be assured that you are not being ripped off when you
see the higher CDN dollar amounts on your receipt, it works out
even and in some cases beneficial to the Amex card-holder after
the exchange is made.
