Polson Pier Urban Rail Skatepark - on December of 07 a skatepark opened up down at the docks at 11 Polson St. It costs $10 for the day and season passes are $100, the park is open 7 days a week from 3pm till 10pm daily, if you are under 18 you must wear a helmet. The park is covered by a large tent. It features a bunch of obstacles made out of wood, 2 funboxes with a rail over one of them, a bunch of large banks, a few quarter pipes, a 6 stair with a rail and a ledge, and a 3 foot minipipe that's fun to learn on. it gets busy on fridays and saturdays, but to make up for that, there are rarely anyone there from sunday to thursday. The park over all has a good vibe, and a great flow, they are thinking about keeping it over summer as well. Will, Eric and some Team EY and PSC friends are normally there on tuesdays and wednesdays if you ever want a fun session. Check out http://www.polsonpier.com for more info

Every Wednesday at Shred Central Skatepark now has a "Best Trick" event on random obstacles in the park, winner takes the prizes.

There is still no word on the start of the Ashbridges Bay Park, it was said in the last meeting that the park would start to be built in fall of 07, but of course just like every park ever built, it didn't start on time. Hopefully spring 08 will bring some good luck in the area of skateparks.

We hosted the 2nd Annual Chipmunk Funeral 06 Skateboard Competition @ the Greenwood Skatepark. With the rain overcast the event was almost canceled but the locals and everyone pitched and grabbed brooms, shovels, and anything they could find to get the water out of the park, so that the event could go on. With the rain gone and a late start the event kicked off. We had over 50 competitors and had to close registartion. The music was blasting and spectors and competitors had a blast. The turnout was awesome with girls like Jessika Koeslag busting out the old school and Chantele Nicol finishing with a close 2nd. Zack Ferguson and Nigel Blackley ripped the park for the younger guys meanwhile Keaton Evans, Matt Badjcar, and Pat Allard got the crowd stoked and showed the kids how skating should be done, Will Bartlett took home the prize for Longest Manual and Pat Allard took a major beating and broke his ankle again so he took home the Worst Bail prize. Good job everyone, Can't wait to see you next year!
